CHBA-AD Members BBQ and Social Afternoon on PEI
Director Evelyn Trask has invited us for an afternoon get together on her farm in North Milton, PEI for a BBQ. Evelyn has several Canadian Horses and this spring, she welcomed a new addition to her herd: a lovely bay colt!
We are hoping many of our members will set aside the day to join us for a BBQ meal and a visit with Evelyn’s horses – including the baby. Evelyn and her husband also raise Dexter Cattle so it is sure to be an animal-filled day on the farm! Perhaps some car-pooling can be arranged for those who want to come but don’t want to do the driving. Directions to the farm will be supplied to all who express interest in attending, and I am happy to start a “car pool” list to help out with the travel arrangements.
Please get in touch so we will know how many to expect.
Evelyn has working farm dogs on her premises, thus she has requested no dogs be brought along, please and thanks.

CANADIAN HORSES AT NORTHVILLE HERITAGE MUSEUM
Farm management have invited us to their Autumn Harvest day, which is their most well-attended annual event. Farm managers are very eager to have our horses on display, and we would like to invite members to bring their Canadian Horses to the site to help promote the breed in a lovely heritage setting. Horses can be ridden or driven – it would be great to have several horses on site on that day.
If you are interested in bringing your horse to this event, please contact Cathy Arsenault or Colette Gates for more information.
If you are interested in supporting us by meeting with the public, answering questions about the Canadian Horse, handing out brochures, etc., contact Cathy Arsenault.

CANADIAN HORSE DEMO DAY AND AGM
in NEW ROSS, NOVA SCOTIA
Colette and Stirling Gates have once again offered up their beautiful venue in New Ross to host a Canadian Horse Demonstration Day this autumn. The format will be as in previous years and will allow for many horses to “strut their stuff” either in the ring, or in the field, or just hack out for a trail ride together down to the lake. Colette and Stirling are hopeful that many of you will bring your Canadian Horse to this event, to help demonstrate the versatility of our wonderful breed.
We are planning everyone’s favourite fundraiser, the silent auction; as well, you will be able to cast your ballot for your 12 favourite photos for the 2020 calendar.
The day will feature breed demonstrations during the day, then a members bbq and AGM later in the afternoon. A more detailed schedule will follow, but if you have questions at this time concerning participating, or volunteering to help out, at this event, please get in touch with Colette 902-689-2878.
